THORNTON, Colo. – Goodwill Industries of Denver hosted a student fashion show fundraiser at its Thornton location on Saturday, May 14. Students in Goodwill Denver’s Youth Career Development program at Northglenn High School modeled several different repurposed garments they created. Each design was crafted by students using clothes found in Goodwill stores. At the end of the show, the outfits were put on display for a silent auction to raise money for Goodwill’s youth programming.
“This was less about fundraising and more about showing off the students’ hard work and creativity,” said Goodwill Area Manager Dianna Miller. “It was wonderful to see our models develop the confidence to be in front of large crowds.”
All of the funds raised in the silent auction will support Goodwill’s youth programming.
