Recycle Goodwill - Triple Bottom Line

Triple bottom line

Being GREEN is more than being environmentally friendlyGoodwill Denver is the premier social enterprise in metro Denver and northern Colorado practicing a triple bottom line: people, planet and prosperity.

We not only look to have a successful financial bottom line to support our mission programs, we also focus on creating a sustainable community through our programs to help at-risk youth, struggling families and individuals with disabilities; AND are responsible to environmentally sound business practices and operations.

PLANET

Goodwill recycles more than 64 million pounds of donated goods per year. More than one million donors and two million shoppers helped turn one person’s trash into someone else’s treasure by donating, reusing and repurposing goods.

PEOPLE

Goodwill ensures that more than 18,000 individuals in our community have the opportunity to change their lives and the lives of others while building a strong, sustainable community. Revenue from stores provides career development and skills training for at-risk youth, struggling families and individuals with disabilities.

PROSPERITY

For more than 90 years, Goodwill has made metro Denver and northern Colorado a more sustainable community by operating a retail business model that provides low-cost goods to the community while also providing revenue to help community members reach their fullest potential.
