Goodwill Industries of Denver has received a $60,000 Daniels Fund grant to support its Youth Career Development Program. The grant will assist 18,000 at-risk youth in 28 Denver and Northern Colorado schools that are currently served by Goodwill’s youth program. The program gives disadvantaged students the tools they need to succeed through job-readiness training and career education.

Gear Grab, a community-based consignment event for used sporting equipment, will host its first event in Denver from April 27 to April 29, 2012 at 838 Broadway, Denver. The event will benefit Goodwill Industries of Denver.

Attend an upcoming information and recruitment event to meet current Goodwill facilitators, to learn about our Youth Services programs, and to receive information regarding this special application process. Goodwill Industries of Denver will open its newest retail store in Longmont, Colorado on Saturday, April 14. The store will be located at 1750 North Main Street in Westview Plaza at the northwest corner of Main and 17th Street. The 27,275-square-foot space was formerly an Albertsons.

Déjà Blue Boutique – a first-of-its-kind store for Goodwill Industries of Denver –will open at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 24. The boutique will feature gently used, brand name clothing, shoes and accessories at a fraction of their retail value. Déjà Blue is situated in the heart of the Cherry Creek North shopping district at 303 University Avenue in Denver.
