Goodwill teams up with Charles Schwab to host free Career Coaching Expo
Goodwill Industries of Denver and Charles Schwab will host a free Career Coaching Expo on Wednesday, May 23, from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Goodwill Career Connection Center at 15425 E. Iliff Avenue, Unit C . The expo is open to all jobseekers and anyone looking for professional advice.
Charles Schwab employee volunteers will be on site to review resumes and perform mock interviews. Jobseekers will also have a chance to socialize during a professional networking breakfast. The expo is one of the projects featured in Schwab Volunteer Week in Denver, an annual week-long event in which Schwab employees coast to coast receive paid time off to volunteer at select community non-profits. This year’s Schwab Volunteer Week includes more than 2,600 volunteers in 45 cities across the U.S. and a total of approximately 160 service projects benefiting more than 100 charities.
Goodwill’s Career Connection Center serves as a free job resource for the whole community. Monday through Friday, jobseekers can take free classes that teach job-search skills such as how to write a resume and how to dress for a job interview. At the center, those looking to acquire employment also have free access to a computer lab to search for jobs, research companies, work on resumes and respond to professional emails.
