Goodwill believes every child deserves a good dad; a man who actively provides guidance, love and support for the children in his life. Through its Nurturing Fathers program Goodwill helps men develop the skills needed to be successful role models who support their families.
Participants learn positive discipline tools, effective family communication techniques, conflict resolution skills and how to achieve cooperation and teamwork in family life.
One Goodwill participant is a former offender who is highly motivated to turn his life around and build a solid relationship with his children. In additional to thriving in the Nurturing Fathers program, he is also taking classes at Red Rocks Community College and is excelling.
The Nurturing Fathers program is helping him and dozens of other participants learn life-changing skills which will ensure their children grow up in a loving, safe and stable environment.
